Ogori Tea Private Limited

Ogori Tea is a small company we run from Phulwaria, over in the Siswa Sob panchayat within Kalyanpur block. Madan Mohan Singh is the one who keeps things organized around here. Tea is something everyone around here drinks, so we thought we’d get into the business of it ourselves. We aren't a massive plantation or a big international brand. We’re just a local outfit trying to make a go of it. Our days are mostly spent sorting through leaves and managing the packaging. It’s a lot of repetitive work, and your hands end up smelling like tea all the time, which isn't the worst thing in the world. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Our workspace is practical and a bit cluttered with bags and crates, but we know where everything is. The weather in Kalyanpur can be a bit unpredictable, which sometimes affects our schedule, but we just adapt. We don't use any big marketing words or try to sound more important than we are. We're just people who live here in Phulwaria working with a product we know. Sometimes the labels aren't perfectly straight or a shipment arrives a day late, but we do our best to fix things. We don't have a corporate philosophy. We just like tea and we like working for ourselves. It’s a quiet life for the most part, and we’re happy to keep it that way while we do our work.
