New Nalanda Kirana Store

Our store is called New Nalanda Kirana Store and you can find us right by the Bazar Samiti Main Gate in Mahendru. Patna is a busy place and this area especially stays moving all day long. Being near the main gate means there is always a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just how it is here. We stock the basic groceries like dal, rice, sugar, and oils. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people come in. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck is late, but usually, we have the staples. The floor is concrete and we use old wooden counters. It’s nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the city center. Most our customers live right here in Mahendru and have been coming to us for years. We know most of their names and what they usually buy. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than three people come in at once. We spend most of our time weighing things out and bagging them up. The weather gets really humid here, so we try to keep the grains dry. It’s a lot of lifting heavy sacks and moving boxes around. We just try to stay honest and keep the doors open when we say we will.
