Nav Udan Nidhi Limited is located at Ful Kumari Devi's house in Mohanpur. It’s a small place, and most people in the village know exactly where it is. We don't have a big office building or a shiny glass front. It’s just a part of the house that we’ve turned into a space for the business. Mohanpur is a quiet village, and we like it that way. In the mornings, you can hear the birds and the sound of people heading out to the fields. We open up early because that’s when people are moving around. Ful Kumari is often there, making sure things are running okay. We keep our ledgers in a metal cupboard to protect them from the dampness when it rains. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job for a quick chat. We don't do a lot of advertising because news travels fast by word of mouth in a place like this. If someone saves some money, their neighbor usually hears about it and comes to ask how they did it. We use a small light bulb that flickers a bit when the voltage is low. It’s a very basic setup, but it’s enough for what we do. We mostly deal with small amounts of cash and a lot of trust. Everyone knows everyone else's family history here, which makes the work feel a lot more personal than a regular bank would.
