Nalanda General Store

Nalanda General Store is located in the Bahadurpur Housing Colony, right in the Kankarbagh area of Patna. We are very close to St. Joseph School, so our days are often shaped by the school schedule. In the mornings and afternoons, you’ll see lots of parents and kids walking past. Some of them stop in for stationery or a quick snack before or after class. The rest of our customers are the people who live in the housing colony. We try to keep all the basic groceries and household items that people run out of during the week. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads, but we stay busy enough. The shop is tucked away in Jay Prakash Nagar, and we’ve been serving this community for a long time. We don't have any big signs or flashy displays. It’s just a regular store with stuff piled on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery doesn't show up on time, but we usually have the essentials. Dealing with the heat in Patna is always a challenge, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can for the customers. It is just us here, making sure the people in the colony have a place nearby to buy their milk and bread. We like being part of the neighborhood and seeing the same faces every day.
