Working inside the HPCL refinery is a whole different world, but our main contact point is at Kailashnagar in Gajuwaka. P.V.S.N. Murthy handles the operations from Door No. 10-4-36. Gajuwaka is always humming with industrial energy, and we are right in the thick of it. Most of our days are spent dealing with the strict rules and safety checks required for refinery work. It’s not the kind of job where you can just wander in and out. Everything has a procedure. Back at the office, it’s a bit more relaxed, though there’s always a stack of gate passes and permits to sort through. We have been here for a long time, watching the refinery towers from a distance. The work is mostly maintenance and specialized projects that keep the facility running. It’s gritty, practical work. You get used to the smell of the refinery and the constant sound of heavy trucks moving through Gajuwaka. Our team is small but they know the ropes. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the technical side of things. Sometimes the weather makes things tough, especially when the humidity hits, but we just push through it. It’s a steady life, really. Just one day after another, making sure everything is in its right place before the shift ends and we head back to the office to finish the daily log. It is what it is.
