Mahi General Store

Mahi General Store is located on Station Road in the Karbighiya area of Patna. It’s a very busy spot, right in the heart of the 800001 district. We are surrounded by other small businesses and a constant stream of people heading to the trains. Our store is a simple room filled with shelves from floor to ceiling. We stock things like tea, sugar, lentils, and small items you might need in a hurry. The traffic outside is loud, and sometimes you have to shout to be heard over the trucks. We don’t have a big staff, just us and sometimes a kid from the neighborhood to help carry bags. The shop is a bit dim because the buildings around us are so close together. We don’t mind it much. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell goods and try to keep the math right. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we sort it out on Sunday mornings. The station road is a tough place to work, but it keeps us busy. We see all sorts of people every day, and that’s what makes the time go by. It’s just a regular store doing its best in a crowded city. Sometimes we run out of change and have to ask the guy at the next stall for some.
