Maa Tara Machinery

At Maa Tara Machinery, we spend most of our days surrounded by equipment and tools. Our shop is located in Ashiana Nagar, over in Phulwari Sharif. We are quite close to the Hero Agency, which is usually the best landmark to give people when they are trying to find us for the first time. The area stays pretty active throughout the day. We usually open the shutters early in the morning and start checking what needs to be done. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes our hands stay dirty until the evening. We don’t really have a big team, just a few of us who know how things work. Sometimes the tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks. It isn't a corporate environment at all. There are stacks of parts and machines around, so you have to watch your step. Most of our visitors are locals or people who have heard about us from someone else. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. We’d rather be working on the floor. Phulwari Sharif has a lot of small businesses like ours, so we feel right at home. The noise from the street is always there, but we are used to it by now. Every day brings something different, maybe a broken part or a new person stopping by with questions. We just keep at it and hope the machines behave.
