We’ve been here in Patna for a good while now, right across from the fire brigade office on Budh Marg. It’s a busy spot in Lodipur, especially during the afternoons when the traffic picks up outside. Our team mostly spends the day dealing with the sfatik work and managing the stock that comes in through the gates. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office where we keep track of things and talk to people who drop by for business. Sometimes the ceiling fans make too much noise, but we get used to it after a while. The stairs leading up are a bit steep, so we usually tell everyone to watch their step when they visit. Mostly, it’s just about getting the work done and making sure the orders are right before they go out for delivery. We have a small kitchen area in the back where we make tea about three times a day. If you’re looking for us, look for the big blue sign near the gate entrance. The heat in Bihar can be tough in May, so we try to finish the heavy lifting early in the morning. Everyone here knows each other pretty well, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We keep a few ledgers on the main desk because some of us still prefer writing things down by hand instead of using the computer for everything. It’s just how we do things here. We don’t have any big corporate meetings, just quick chats over a glass of water to figure out what needs doing next.
