We are set up near the Chiraiya Tar Bridge on the main road in Kankarbagh. Kunti Tea is a local name that people around here recognize when they see our crates. The bridge area is always crowded, so there’s a lot of noise and dust from the vehicles passing by. Our space is basically one long room filled with tea chests and a small counter where we handle the money and the receipts. We don't have air conditioning, so the summer months can be a bit of a struggle, but we keep the water cold and the work moving. It’s a family-style business, meaning we all do a bit of everything. One minute I’m hauling a bag of tea, and the next I’m trying to figure out why the printer isn't working. We aren't polished or professional in the way big city companies are. We speak plainly and we tell people the truth about what we have in stock. Some days we have the good stuff, and some days we’re waiting on the trucks like everyone else. Kankarbagh is a busy place, and we’re just a small part of the daily grind. We’ve been at this long enough to know our regulars by their voices before they even walk through the door. It’s just us, the tea, and the sound of the traffic outside the window all day long.
