If you find yourself in Ashok Nagar, Kankarbagh, you’ll probably see our clinic near the Ramdev Mandir. We are at Plot No. 8. Patna is a busy place, and Kankarbagh is no exception. There’s always someone walking by or a rickshaw honking outside. The clinic is a small, straightforward place. We have the usual setup with a desk and some wooden chairs for the patients. The smell of the clinic is mostly just clean air and a bit of that faint sweetness from the homeopathic medicines we keep in the back. We have been here quite a while, and the local shopkeepers are all friends of ours. Sometimes we stand outside for a bit of air when it’s not too dusty. The building is just a standard Patna plot. Inside, we have cabinets filled with different remedies. We keep everything labeled by hand usually, which takes up a lot of time. People find us because they live nearby or they were visiting the Mandir and saw our sign. It’s not a complicated operation. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and get ready for the day. There’s a lot of talking involved in what we do, so it’s rarely silent here. We just take things one person at a time and try to keep the records straight in our big notebooks. It’s just how we run the place every single day.
