Our office is tucked away at 203 B in the NP Centre on New Dark Bunglow Rd. If you come by, you’ll likely see a lot of rolls of blueprints sitting on the chairs and dust on everyone’s shoes because we are usually coming back from a site somewhere. Being on New Dark Bunglow Road means we are close to the middle of everything, but the building itself can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons. Kanika Buildcon Pvt. Ltd. isn’t a huge operation with hundreds of people; it’s just a handful of us trying to keep the projects moving forward without too many delays. We spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors and checking on material deliveries that always seem to be running late. The lift in the NP Centre is a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs to the second floor. There’s a water cooler in the corner that everyone gathers around when the heat gets bad. We don't have a lot of polished marketing materials or a big reception desk. It’s mostly just a workspace where we look at maps and try to figure out the best way to get things built. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating snacks at our desks and going over the numbers one more time. It’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of coordinating, but we just take it one day at a time.
