Kangan General Store

Down here on Bhoot Nath Road, near the Nandlal Chapra More, things never really get quiet. We are located quite close to the Hanuman Mandir, so Tuesday mornings and Saturday evenings are always a bit more hectic with people coming and going from the temple. Kangan General Store is a small operation, mostly just me and a bit of help. We have a mix of stuff, not just the usual groceries but some of those small household things you always lose. The traffic at the More can be a headache, with all the horns honking and rickshaws trying to squeeze past each other. Patna is a busy city, and this part of it is no different. The shop gets a lot of light in the mornings, which is nice until it gets too hot. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, boxes end up stacked in the corners. It’s a simple life, opening up early and staying until the sun goes down. Most of our customers are the locals who live in the back lanes or people passing through on their way to the temple. They want their things fast so they can get on with their day. We don't have fancy signs or glass doors, just a shutter and some old shelves that have seen better days. It's just a regular neighborhood store that deals with the daily grind of the city. We sometimes run out of space for new stock, but we make it work somehow.
