Our location is at 230 P.P. Colony, on Road Number 1 in the Patliputra area. Patliputra is a well-known part of the city, but our street is actually quite tucked away and relatively calm. The office itself is just a regular building where we’ve set up some desks and shelves. It’s got that old-school feel with concrete floors and high ceilings. We spend our days handling the various bits of paperwork that come through for the Nidhi. It’s a lot of data entry and filing, which can be tedious, but it’s necessary work. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from what we’re doing to help you. The neighborhood has a lot of trees, so it stays a bit cooler than the main roads. We often hear the birds in the morning before the city noise really picks up. It’s a comfortable place to work. We have a small kitchen area in the back where we make tea for ourselves and occasionally for a visitor who stays for a long chat. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We are just a local office doing our part to keep things running smoothly for the people who rely on us in this corner of Patliputra. The office closes up as the streetlights come on and we head home. We keep it simple and focus on what needs doing.
