You can find us on the 3rd floor of Binda Tower, right near the TVS Agency at Jagdeo Path. We are Traditional Agriculture Employment Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. It’s a long name for a fairly small operation. Our office is filled with reports and data about farming and jobs in the rural sectors. We spend our time looking at how people find work in agriculture and what the trends are like these days. It’s a lot of reading and talking to folks who are out in the field. The building is usually quite busy since there are other offices and the TVS shop downstairs. Sometimes the elevator in Binda Tower is slow or out of order, so we just take the stairs. Our team is mostly made up of people who grew up around farms, so we understand the practical side of things, not just the numbers on a page. We don't have any fancy lab equipment or expensive machines. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of effort put into understanding the local economy. We track how seasonal work changes and what kind of training helps people get better pay. Jagdeo Path is a central area, so it’s easy for visitors to find us, even if the traffic can be a bit much during rush hour. We just keep doing our research and trying to document what’s actually happening out there in the villages. It’s steady work that keeps us thinking.
