Our workspace is tucked away on Stanley Road in the Bailey Colony area of Allahabad. It’s an old part of the city, and the office is located at a spot connected to K.N. Srivastava. The building has a bit of a lived-in feel to it, which suits us just fine since we are usually too busy with project files to worry about decor. Stanley Road can get pretty crowded with rickshaws and cars, but once you step inside, it is mostly just the sound of people talking about blueprints and schedules. We spend a lot of time coordinating with different teams for the infrastructure work we do across the region. It is not always easy, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate or supplies get delayed on the road. We drink a lot of tea here while we sit around the big table going over site reports. The guys often come in from the field smelling like sun and sweat, looking for the latest drawings. We don't use any big words or fancy talk; we just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the trucks are where they are supposed to be. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks, and it takes us a few days to get through it all. It is a practical kind of place where things get done without much fuss. We know the local roads well because we’ve probably had a hand in working on some of them.
