Down here in Hazaribag, things move a bit slower than the big cities. We’re located in Quarter B/30, right near the State Bank of India building by the Topa Colliery. It’s a mining area, so everything is a bit rugged and practical. Working for Hyderabad Industries Limited in a place like this means you get used to the coal dust and the sound of heavy machinery nearby. Our office isn't anything like those glass buildings you see in pictures. It’s a sturdy old place that’s seen plenty of seasons. Most of our days are spent checking on local operations and making sure the supplies are handled right. It’s honest work. We know most of the people who walk past our door because this is a tight community. You won't find any corporate jargon here, just people talking about the weather or the work schedule. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or find something else to do. It’s part of living and working in the colliery. We keep things simple because that’s what works for us. If you’re looking for us, just find the bank and we’re right there. We don't put on any airs. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done in this part of Jharkhand. The windows rattle a bit when trucks go by, but you get used to it. We have a small cupboard for lunch and a stack of old ledgers. It's just a regular workplace. We focus on the mining supplies and making sure every order is accounted for.
