Gramin Jan Sahyog Nidhi Limited is at Puspa Devi’s house in village Paighambarpur. We are in the Kolhuatola area, which falls under the Paighamarpur panchayat in Kanti block. It’s a real village office. You have to walk through some narrow lanes to get to us. The atmosphere is very quiet, surrounded by houses and some trees. We don’t have a fancy reception desk. Usually, someone is just sitting there ready to help whoever walks in. We deal with the local residents who want to set aside a little bit of money every month. Being in Muzaffarpur district, specifically Kanti, we see a lot of the same people every day. We don't have a marketing team or any of that stuff. We just talk to our neighbors. The office is basically a part of the house that we use for business. It feels very personal and not at all corporate. Sometimes the local kids are playing outside, and you can hear them while we work. We use simple registers to keep track of everything. It’s a slow pace of life here. We make sure the accounts are right and that people feel heard. We don't need anything fancy to do our jobs well. It’s just about being here for the people in Paighambarpur and doing what we can.
