Gauri Shankar Kirana

Gauri Shankar Kirana is located in P.C. Colony at G75/77 in the Kankarbagh area of Patna. We’ve been operating out of this shop for a long time. It’s a traditional kirana store, which means we carry all the cooking essentials you’d expect. We have sacks of rice, different kinds of flour, and plenty of spices. The shop is a bit cluttered because we try to fit a lot of inventory into a small space. You might see bags of lentils stacked near the entrance when a new shipment arrives. Kankarbagh is a busy residential part of Patna, so we see a lot of the same faces every single day. We don’t have a fancy cooling system, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. Sometimes we run out of things if the wholesaler is late, but we try to keep the most important stuff in stock. We do all our accounts in a simple way and don't bother with expensive software. It’s a family-run thing, so someone is always here from early morning until the shutters go down at night. We know which neighbor prefers which brand of tea. It’s these little things that make running a shop in Patna interesting. We don't have a big mission or anything; we just want to make sure the kitchen supplies are available for everyone living around P.C. Colony. It’s simple work, but we stay busy.
