Gammon India Ltd

Up here in Gangtok, things feel a lot different than the plains. Our Gammon India Ltd spot is actually located right by Suresh General Store. If you are in Deorali Bazar, you just look for the store and we are right there. It is a busy little pocket of Sikkim. You hear the taxis honking and the people chatting as they go to buy their groceries. Sometimes the mist rolls in so thick you can barely see the street from the window. We are used to the climb and the stairs. It is not some sleek glass building; it is a practical space in a real neighborhood. We spend a lot of time coordinating things from this little corner. Having the general store so close is handy when we need a quick snack or some supplies. The air is cold most of the year, so we are usually bundled up while we work. Deorali is a hub, so there is always movement. We don’t do anything flashy. We just sit here, look at the maps or the schedules, and get on with it. The local people are friendly, and we have become part of the daily scenery in the bazar. It’s a good place to be if you want to see the real Gangtok, away from the purely tourist spots. We just focus on the task at hand and keep things running smoothly without much fuss. There is always something to do.
