Gammon India Limited

Our office for Gammon India Limited is way out in East Champaran. To get here, you have to go through Manguraha and reach the village of Chhapkahiya. It’s a very rural area and quite honest. The post office is right nearby. We are located near the Gobindgunj police station, so it's a spot everyone knows. We don’t have a corporate lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and you’ll find one of us at a desk. We handle a lot of the local coordination and site management from this building. The roads around here can be pretty rough, so we spend a lot of our time planning how to get equipment moved safely. Life in the village moves at its own pace, which is fine by us. We have a steady routine. We start early while it’s still cool and try to get the bulk of the work done before it gets dark. The office is very simple. We use wooden furniture and a lot of paper registers. We still write things down by hand because it’s reliable when the power is out. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we do. We are proud to be working in this part of Bihar. The landscape is tough sometimes, but the people are good. We just do our part and try to make sure everything gets finished right without needing any big mission statements or flashy talk. We stay busy.
