Our clinic is located at B50 in Sachivalaya Colony, which is part of the Kankarbagh area in Patna. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads. We are very close to the Kendriya Vidyalay, so in the mornings and afternoons, the street is full of school buses and kids. The building is a regular house that we’ve converted into a clinic. We have a small area out front where people can park their bikes. Inside, it’s a bit more formal because of the work we do with brains and spines, but we still keep it feeling like a local place. The waiting room has some cushioned chairs and a few plants that we try to keep alive. The light isn't great in the hallway, but the consultation rooms are bright. We have a small staff of three people who handle the desk and the cleaning. Patna can be very hot, so we have a couple of air conditioners that we turn on when the sun is high. We see people from all over Bihar, not just the local colony. It’s a simple setup, and we spend a lot of time talking to patients about their problems. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just a small one by the gate. It feels like a quiet, steady place to be. We usually finish up late in the evening when the street gets dark and quiet.
