Our office is located at Maranpur, very close to the Durga Mandir on the road that connects Vishnupad Gaya to Bodhgaya. If you are coming from the post office at Chand Chaura, it is not a long walk. DDFC INDIA NIDHI LIMITED is basically right in the middle of all the temple activity. On festival days, it gets extremely crowded outside, and the bells from the mandir can be heard all day long inside the office. We have a small space with a couple of computers and a lot of paper files stacked in the corners. It is a busy part of Gaya, so there is always noise from the rickshaws and people walking toward the shrines. We started here because the location is convenient for everyone passing through. The interior is simple with white walls and a tiled floor that we try to sweep every morning. Most of our work involves helping people with their small savings and keeping track of the memberships. We aren't a big bank with glass doors, just a local office where you can talk directly to the person handling your money. The heat in Gaya can be quite something, but the thick walls of the building keep it relatively cool inside. We usually stay open until the evening rush starts to fade away. It’s a practical place to work and we like being near the heart of the spiritual area.
