Daisy General Store

Daisy General Store is located right here in Alam Ganj, Gulzarbagh. We have been serving this part of Patna for quite a while now. The shop isn't very big, but we pack a lot into the space we have. From floor to ceiling, there are boxes of snacks, detergents, and household items. When you walk in, you’ll see jars of candies and chocolates on the front counter. Kids from the nearby houses usually come in for those on their way from school. We spend most of our day weighing out items or bagging up groceries. It’s a bit noisy because of the street traffic outside, but you get used to the sound of horns. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just wooden shelves and a lot of stock. If you need flour or some spices for cooking, we usually have the local brands people prefer. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three or four people are all asking for different things at once. We do our best to remember who was first in line. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what’s running low. We have to order more salt or oil every few days to keep up. Being a local shop means we know most of our customers by name. We hear about their families and their daily lives. It’s a simple life, just running a store in a busy corner of Patna.
