Daily Needs

We call the shop Daily Needs because that’s exactly what we handle here in Patna. We are located on the East Lohanipur Kadamkua Road, right across from Das Company. It’s a familiar spot for anyone living around Lohanipur. We keep the doors open through most of the day, selling everything from pens and notebooks to cooking oil. The street is usually pretty loud with rickshaws and people walking by. It’s not a quiet job, but we like it that way. We've been in this building for quite some time now. The shelves are a bit old, and the paint might be peeling in a corner, but the goods are fresh. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors while weighing out sugar or pulses. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. Sometimes we have to close early if there’s a local power cut or something, but usually, we’re here. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need something. It feels good to be the place people rely on for their morning milk or a last-minute pack of salt. We just take it one day at a time, keeping the bins full and the floor swept. It’s a lot of work to keep up with the stock, but it's what we do. We like seeing the same neighbors every day.
