City Planners

City Planners is located over on Nawab Bahadur Road in Patna. If you know the area, it’s near the old parts of town where things are always a bit crowded. We have architects, engineers, and interior designers all working in the same space, so it gets pretty cramped with all the drawing boards and rolls of paper everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when we are working on a big layout for a new project. The building we are in is older, so the walls are thick but the fans are noisy. We spend most of our time arguing over where a wall should go or how to fix a plumbing issue on a map. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to make everything look like a magazine cover; we just want things to work for the people who live there. Being in Patna means we deal with a lot of dust and heat, but we just keep the doors shut and keep working. Sometimes people drop by just to chat about a project they're thinking of, and we sit around with some tea and talk it out. It’s not very formal here. We wear casual clothes and don't really care about being fancy. Just a group of people trying to design buildings and interiors that actually make sense for the neighborhood and the people living here. It's just how we do things.
