Bihar X-Ray Clinic

We are over in Makhania Kuan. It’s a well-known neighborhood and our clinic is right in the thick of it. We specialize in taking X-rays, so if someone has a cough that won’t go away or a possible broken bone, they usually end up here. The clinic is basically just a few rooms in an old building. The X-ray machine is in the back and it’s been working well for us for many years. We have a darkroom for developing the films, though it’s a bit cramped in there. The front office has a wooden desk where we take down the names and give out the reports. The walls are a bit plain, maybe a little yellowed with age, but we keep the place as tidy as we can. Makhania Kuan is a noisy area with a lot of traffic, so you can always hear the rickshaws outside. We don’t have any fancy waiting room furniture, just some basic chairs. My brother helps me manage the patients and the paperwork. We see a lot of people every day, especially in the mornings. It’s not the kind of place where you stay long. You come in, get your picture taken, and wait for the results. We try to be as quick as we can because we know people are usually worried about what the X-ray will show. It’s a simple, necessary service for this part of town and we’ve been doing it for quite a while now.
