Babli General Store

If you are around the Chitkohra Golambar in Patna, you will probably see our place, Babli General Store. We are on Anisabad Road in the Lal Market area. It is a very lively part of 800002, and there is always something going on outside. The shop is usually crowded with bags of flour and stacks of different soaps. I have been working here for a while and I know exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. People from the nearby colonies come here for their daily needs. We don't have any big marketing or anything like that, people just know we are here. Sometimes the kids come in after school for some candy or a small toy. The Lal Market can be a bit overwhelming with all the noise and people, but our store is a familiar spot for many. We keep the basics like lentils, oil, and spices. It’s an old-fashioned way of shopping where you talk to the person behind the counter. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough during the Patna summers. We try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes the suppliers are a bit slow. Anyway, it’s just a normal neighborhood store. We open up in the morning, talk to the locals, and head home when it gets dark. It is a simple life and we like it.
