B K Dewan Co sits on the East Patel Nagar Main Road, and if you have ever been through there, you know the number 41383 area is always moving. The shop is right where the main road traffic hums all day long. We deal with various supplies and general items that people in this part of town are looking for. It’s a bit of a mix of things on our shelves, and honestly, sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is asking for because the inventory keeps shifting. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; it’s just a front room and a back storage area that is usually packed to the ceiling. The floor is concrete and shows the wear and tear of years of moving boxes around. Every morning we roll up the shutter and start sorting through whatever arrived the evening before. It can get dusty being so close to the main road, so there is always a bit of cleaning to do. We see all kinds of people coming in, from folks who live right around the corner to delivery drivers just passing through Patel Nagar. We keep the lights on late most days because there is always one more thing to count or a shelf to restock.
