Ayat General Store

Ayat General Store is located right on Station Road in the Chiraiyatand area of Patna. Being near the New Market means there is always something going on outside our door. We sell a bit of everything, which is why we call it a general store. You can find snacks, pens, notebooks, and even some basic medicines or toiletries. We try to keep the things that travelers might need since the station is right there. It’s a small room, but we use every inch of the wall for shelving. Sometimes it feels like the ceiling is made of hanging packets of chips and snacks. We’ve been here in the 800001 zip code for a good while. The noise from the trains and the rickshaws is constant, but you get used to it after a week. We aren't a big supermarket, just a local spot where you can grab what you need and go. Most of our regulars are the people who work in the nearby offices or live in the apartments behind the market. We don't have a big sign, but everyone knows the blue door. We just show up every morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It's not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the day. We like being part of the neighborhood here in Patna and seeing the same people every day. It's just a normal shop for normal people.
