Aushadhi

Our place is called Aushadhi and we are over at Khemka House on Ashok Rajpath. Being so close to P M C Hospital and G M Road means we are always busy. There are always people walking by, and ambulances going past with their sirens. It’s a loud area, but you get used to it after a week or two. The shop is on the ground floor. We have large glass windows so people can see we are open. Inside, the walls are covered in shelves from the floor to the ceiling. We have to use a small step ladder to reach the top rows. It’s a lot of work keeping everything sorted by the name of the medicine. We get deliveries almost every day to replace what we sold the day before. The counter is usually covered with slips of paper and pens. We don't have much room for sitting down. Usually, there are two of us behind the counter trying to help everyone as fast as we can. It gets very hot in the summer because of the sun hitting the front of the building. We just drink a lot of water and keep going. Most people who come in are in a hurry because they have someone in the hospital. We understand that and try to get them what they need without any fuss. It's a basic setup, nothing more than a pharmacy in a busy spot.
