Anupama General Stores

We are located right near Pulsi Mandir in the Gulzarbagh area of Patna. Anupama General Stores has been sitting on this corner for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The temple brings a lot of people by, especially on certain days of the week when it gets really crowded. Our shop is just a typical Patna general store with stacks of goods everywhere you look. We don’t have a lot of space, so things are piled up high. It might look a bit messy to someone from outside, but we have a system. We sell the usual stuff that families in Gulzarbagh need for their kitchens and homes. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most of our customers are just people who live in the lanes nearby. They come in for a bit of salt, some oil, or maybe some soap. We talk about the weather or how the local roads are always under repair. It’s just a normal part of life here. Being near the mandir means we see a lot of visitors too, not just the locals. We open up the shutters early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the street lights come on. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just try to have what people are looking for at a fair price. It’s hard work sometimes, but it’s what we know and we like being here.
