We are located in Naya Tola, right in the Phulwari Sharif area of Patna. The office is actually tied to the address of Jamil Ahmad’s place, which makes it feel much more like a part of the neighborhood than some distant business office. Patna is a crowded place, and Phulwari Sharif is certainly no exception to that rule. The streets can get very narrow, and there is always a lot of noise from rickshaws and people walking by outside. It’s a lively spot to be in. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but you still feel the energy of the city through the walls. We deal with the power sector details here, mostly focusing on the local administrative side of things. It’s a lot of manual logging and checking through old files. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical, honest workspace where we get the job done. The walls are plain, and we have just enough light to see what we are doing on our desks. In the afternoons, when the sun hits the building, it gets quite warm, so we keep the ceiling fans running at full speed. We see the same faces every day on the street outside. Being in a residential-heavy area like Naya Tola means we are never too far from the reality of how people live and use the electricity we help manage. We just keep our heads down and work at Adani Power Ltd.
