Abir Construction Private Limited operates out of Flat No 23 in the Amabar Home Apartment building on Bailey Road in Patna. It might seem a little unusual to have a construction office inside a residential apartment, but it actually works out quite well for us. Bailey Road is always packed with cars and people, so there is a constant background noise of horns and engines while we are trying to work. We have set up several computers in the main living area, and we often use the big dining table to spread out large blueprints so we can all look at them together. Patna is growing so fast these days that there is always some new project to discuss or a problem to solve. We spend a lot of our time on our mobile phones or stuck in traffic trying to get from one side of the city to the other. The office has a very lived-in feel to it, with some tea stains on the desks and plenty of pens that have completely run out of ink lying around. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby area, so you just walk right in and find someone to talk to. It is a bit informal, but we find that we can get a lot more done that way without any extra fuss.
