Abb Ltd (India) is tucked away in the Mahendru neighborhood of Patna. Our specific area is called Khajoorbanna. This is where Akhileshwar Upadhyay and the rest of the team work every day. It’s an old part of the city, quite close to the river. The lanes around here are narrow and always full of life. You hear the sounds of the city from the moment we open the doors in the morning. Our office is in a simple brick building. It’s not very large, so we have to make the most of the space we have. We have some sturdy desks and a lot of shelving for our files. We don't have a big corporate lobby. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us busy with paperwork or on the phone. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a photo or two. It’s a practical place for people who just want to get their work done. We know our neighbors well and often stop to talk to them on our way in to start the day. The heat in Patna can be tough, but we have some good fans to keep us cool. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just focus on our daily tasks and keeping things running smoothly for everyone involved. It’s a real place with real people working hard.
