You can find us down by Kath Ka Pul. Rakesh Associates has been in this spot for quite a while now. The office is tucked away, so you might miss it if you aren't looking closely. We handle a lot of paperwork and administrative tasks for folks in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and filling out forms, but someone has to do it. The street outside is always noisy, which we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We usually have stacks of files on the tables because there’s always something pending. It’s just a handful of us working here. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything, just a few chairs for when people drop by. We try to be helpful and explain things in plain words. Most of our days are spent checking details and making sure everything is in order. It isn't the most exciting work, but it's important for the people who come to us. We know most of the regulars by their first names. It’s nice being a part of the local community here. If the door is open, we're usually inside working on something. We don't keep strict corporate hours, but we're here when it counts. Sometimes the printer jams right when we're in a hurry, and we all have to take a minute to fix it. That's just how it goes in a small office like this. We keep a teapot in the corner for anyone who needs a break.
