You can find Virdi Tubewell Boring Co right on Sangrur Road in Patran, situated just opposite the Power House. We spend most of our time out in the fields or near the road with the heavy boring equipment. It’s a messy job, and we usually end the day covered in mud and grease. The shop itself is mostly for storing pipes and parts that we need for the rigs. Being across from the power house makes it easy to give people directions. We have a few old trucks that have seen better days, but they still get the job done. The noise from the traffic on Sangrur Road is something we don't even hear anymore. We deal with a lot of farmers and local landowners who need water for their crops. It’s physical work, and the weather can be a real problem, whether it’s the pouring rain or the heat of the summer sun. We’ve been doing this for years, so we know the ground around Patran pretty well. Sometimes a boring job goes smoothly, and other times we hit rock and it takes twice as long. We just take it as it comes. There’s no fancy office here, just a shed for the tools and a place to park the equipment. It’s just us, the machines, and a lot of hard work out in the dirt.
