Thinkpoint Education

Thinkpoint Education is located in Leela Bhawan, which is over in the Bank Colony area of Patiala. It's a busy part of the city and there are always students walking around the streets nearby. Our rooms are filled with old wooden desks and whiteboards that always have some leftover marks on them. We spend the whole day talking to young people who are stressed out about their exams or trying to get into college. It gets really noisy during the breaks when everyone crowds into the hallway to talk. We started this place because we knew the neighborhood and saw that students needed a simple place to come and learn. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the tea guy comes by twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. Punjab gets incredibly hot in the middle of the year, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day long. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that; it's just a few of us teaching and one person handling the front desk. We write all the class timings on a big paper calendar taped to the wall. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to keep going with whatever light comes through the windows. It’s a humble setup, but it works for the kids. Families from the colony often drop by to see how their children are doing. We keep it very casual and practical for everyone.
