About Tejwant Singh Brar Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Patiala
My practice is based at 1-Ranjit Bagh, right near the State College of Education. It’s a decent spot and easy for people to find once they get close to the college. I’ve been working as an architect for many years now, and my office is exactly what you’d expect from someone who spends their life drawing. There are blueprints everywhere, stacks of old files, and models sitting on the windowsills. I don’t believe in having a flashy office; I’d rather spend that time and energy on the actual designs. I do a lot of the work myself, from the first sketches to the final technical drawings. It’s a lot of sitting and thinking, and then a lot of walking around dusty sites once the building starts. I’ve seen the neighborhood change over the decades, and I’ve designed quite a few of the structures you see around here. People come to me because they know I’ve been around and I know how to get things done without making a big fuss. I’m pretty straightforward about what can and can’t be done on a certain budget or piece of land. I don’t try to sugarcoat things. If a design won’t work, I’ll tell you. It’s just how I’ve always done business here in Ranjit Bagh. It’s a small, honest practice and that suits me just fine. I spend my days mostly between my desk and the sites. It keeps me active.
