Tarun Garg Architect

I’m located at 161 Charan Bagh. It’s where I do all my architectural work and meet with people who are looking to build something new. My office is a pretty simple setup. I don't think you need a lot of bells and whistles to do good design work. It’s mostly just me, my drafting table, and a lot of coffee. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so I’m familiar with the local style and what the authorities usually look for in plans. I handle residential projects mostly, but I’ve done some commercial stuff too when it comes my way. Being in Charan Bagh is nice because it’s a settled neighborhood. You won't find any high-pressure sales tactics here. I just prefer to sit down with a client, look at their plot of land, and start sketching ideas that fit their life. A lot of the job is just problem-solving, like how to get enough light into a room or where to put the stairs. I spend a lot of my time at construction sites, too, wearing a dusty pair of shoes and making sure the builders aren't taking any shortcuts. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I enjoy the process of seeing a flat piece of land turn into a home. It keeps me busy and I like the work. It’s a quiet life here at 161. I plan to stay here for many years.
