Sitara Threads Mill Private Limited is situated near Partap Gate, right by Vivekanand School. It is a very local spot and we have been here for quite some time. You can usually hear the kids playing at the school during their break while we are working on the thread production. Our mill is a busy place. We focus on making different kinds of threads, which is a dusty and loud process. The air is often thick with cotton bits, so we are always cleaning up at the end of the day. We do not have a fancy office or a polished lobby for visitors. It is just a workspace with machines and spools of thread stacked up high. Most of our staff live nearby and have been with us for years. We know the rhythm of the machines by heart now. Some days the power cuts out and we have to wait around, which is just part of living and working in this area. We don’t do any big advertising or marketing. People mostly know us because we’ve been at Partap Gate forever. We just focus on making sure the thread is strong enough and the colors come out the way they are supposed to. It is simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We take it one day at a time and just try to keep the machines running smoothly.
