It’s a residential area, so it feels more like visiting a neighbor than going to a big business meeting. We’ve set up the workspace to be functional and simple. There are always rolls of tracing paper and pencils scattered around the desks. Working as an architect in Baltana means we get to see a lot of different types of homes and projects. We spend a lot of time walking around sites and then coming back here to draw everything up. It’s not a fancy studio with high ceilings; it’s just a room where we get the work done. People come to us when they have an idea for their property and need someone to put it on paper properly. We don't use those high-pressure sales tactics. We just sit down, look at the site, and start sketching. The light in Saini Vihar is quite good in the mornings, which helps when we’re working on detailed drawings. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know our names. It’s a nice community to be part of while we’re helping people build their own spaces. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who really care about getting the dimensions right. It’s simple, honest work that we do right here from house 38.
