Sharma Eye Hospital

Number 20 Jagdish Marg is where you will find us. It’s more of a residential street, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads. The building is an older house that we converted into an eye hospital. It has high ceilings and those old heavy doors that creak when you open them. We have kept it pretty much the way it was, just added the medical equipment we need. The waiting room has some old wooden chairs that have been there forever. We have a small garden in the front with some marigolds and a big neem tree that gives a lot of shade. Patients like to sit under the tree when the weather is nice. We do general eye checkups and some basic surgeries too. It’s not a huge place with hundreds of beds. We only have a few rooms for people to stay in if they need to. Most people just come for an hour and then go home. We don't have a receptionist in a uniform. It’s usually just one of us sitting at the desk with a big diary. We write down everything by hand. It feels more personal that way. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to borrow some water or use the phone. We don't mind. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place where we take our time with each person who comes in to get their eyes checked.
