Shahi Furnishers & Exporters

We’ve been running Shahi Furnishers & Exporters from this spot on Chandigarh Road for quite some time now. You’ll find us right across from the old Octroi Post. It is a busy area with a lot of traffic passing by every day, but we like being in the middle of it all. Most days the shop is full of sawdust and the sound of tools because there is always something being built or packed up. We handle furniture for people nearby and also send pieces further away since we do the exporting side of things too. It started out small and stayed pretty straightforward. We don’t go in for fancy displays or anything like that. The workshop is where everything happens. If you walk in, you’ll probably see me or one of the guys working on a frame or checking a finish. It gets dusty and loud, but that is just how the job is. People usually find us because they’ve lived in the neighborhood for years or they saw our sign while waiting at the traffic. We don't have a big office, just a desk in the corner with a lot of paperwork. It’s a family-run kind of place and we just get on with the daily tasks. We make sure the wood is good and the joints are tight before anything leaves the doors. That is basically our day-to-day life here near the Octroi Post.
