Our shop is over in Ward No.9 in Rajpura. We’re pretty close to the Railway Station Road, so you can often hear the trains going by while we're working. It’s a small place, mostly just filled with buckets and tins of paint from floor to ceiling. My brother and I run the place, and we’ve been here for a good few years now. The floor is covered in old paint drips from when we mix things for customers, which gives it a bit of character, I suppose. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most people who come in are local folks from the neighborhood or painters looking for a specific shade for a house or a fence. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people are inside, especially with the stacks of rollers and brushes near the door. We usually sit on wooden stools behind the counter and wait for the morning rush to pass. The street outside can get quite muddy when it rains, but people still make their way over. We try to keep a decent variety of stuff, though sometimes we run out of the popular white base. It’s a simple life, opening the shutters in the morning and closing up when it gets dark. No big marketing plans here, just selling paint to anyone who needs it for their home or a small job around the station area.
