Bhadson Road is always a bit dusty and the cars need washing more often than I like. Being opposite Kohli Sweet is a bit of a problem for me because I end up buying snacks more than I should. We are right by the taxi stand so there is always a driver around to talk to or share a quick cup of tea. Sandeep Tour & Travels is just a small office where we handle all the bookings. It’s not a fancy place at all. Just some chairs, a desk, and a phone that rings quite a lot. My family has been in Patiala for a long time. The traffic on Bhadson Road never seems to stop, especially in the evenings. We watch the people walking by to the sweets shop while we wait for the next job to come in. It’s a lot of waiting sometimes, and then suddenly everything happens at once and it’s very busy. We keep the logs in a big notebook on the desk. The taxi stand next door is where the guys hang out between their trips. We have been in this spot for a good bit now and local people know where to find us. It’s just daily work, nothing more or less. We stay open late if there is a booking to finish or a driver coming back from a long trip. It's a simple way to make a living and it keeps us busy most days of the week.
