This branch of Raja Fat And Feeds Pvt. Ltd. is out in Village Gazipur, which is part of the Rajpura area in Patiala district. Being out in the village is a bit different than being in the city center. It’s a bit quieter until the tractors start moving. We have a good amount of space here, which we need for all the materials we move around. The air is a bit fresher, though you still get the smell of the feed we are mixing. Most of the people working here are from around the village or the neighboring towns. We don’t really have a formal dress code or anything. It’s mostly about being able to move around and get the job done. The office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a lot of ledgers. We still do a lot of things the old way, writing stuff down in books. It works for us and keeps things simple. Sometimes the road out here gets a bit muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be some giant company; we just want to provide what the local folks need for their livestock. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and we know how things work in the village. It is just life here.
