Punjab General Store

Punjab General Store is located right near the Punjab National Bank, near Patiala Gate. It’s a handy spot because people often stop in after they finish their business at the bank. We’ve been here for a while, and the shop has become a bit of a fixture in the neighborhood. It’s a typical general store, so we carry a bit of everything that people might need in a hurry. You’ll find jars of candy on the counter and stacks of soap and flour further back. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know our way around the aisles even in the dark. In the afternoons, when it’s quiet, we might sit outside for a bit and watch the people going through the Patiala Gate. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history, and we like the feeling of being right in the middle of it. We don't use any high-tech systems to keep track of things; it’s mostly just notebooks and memory. Sometimes we run out of something, and we have to tell the customers to come back tomorrow. They don't seem to mind much because they know we’ll have it soon. It’s a relaxed way to work, and we’ve made a lot of friends over the years just by being the place where people buy their daily milk or tea. We keep it honest and straightforward every single day.
