Nishu Bansal Architect

Nabha is a quiet place mostly, and having the office on Bank Street means we are right where most things happen. Our address at 252-A is a simple space where we handle all the architecture work that comes our way. It is just Nishu Bansal Architect, nothing more and nothing less. We spend a lot of time staring at computer screens or drawing lines on paper to see if a building will actually fit on a piece of land. Sometimes the local regulations are a bit of a headache, so we spend hours reading through old documents and trying to make sense of things. The office has a lot of sunlight coming in, which is nice until it gets too hot in the afternoon. We have a few old folders piled up in the corner and a coffee machine that makes a lot of noise. People from around the neighborhood drop by to ask questions about their plots or to see how a project is coming along. We don't use big words to explain things; we just show the drawings and explain where the doors and windows go. It’s a practical kind of job, making sure the foundations are solid and the roof won’t leak. Bank Street is usually full of people going about their business, and we are just another part of that daily routine, working on one house at a time. It is a slow and steady process here in Nabha.
