Niharika Trading Company

Our place is situated right across from the Dana Mandi on Salor Road. Being so close to the grain market means it’s always hectic and loud. There are tractors, trucks, and carts moving around everywhere, especially when it’s harvest season. We do our trading from a small office right there on the edge of the road. It’s always a bit dusty because of all the grain and dirt moving around outside. We sit in there and talk to farmers and other businessmen all through the day. The office has a few old wooden desks and some fans that squeak when they turn. We deal with whatever goods are currently in season. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and checking the different market rates. We don't have any kind of big corporate structure or fancy titles. It’s just a few of us working together to make a living. Sometimes we have to stay quite late when the Mandi is especially busy with arrivals. The tea man from the corner comes by every hour, which helps us get through the long days. We’ve been based on Salor Road for a while now. Most of the people in this trade know exactly where to find us. We don't have a big flashing sign, just our name painted on the door. It’s a very basic operation. We do the work, keep our books, and then head home. That’s how we like it. Nothing too complicated.
