Military Hospital

Being located right near the Government Medical College means we are in a very busy part of the city. There are always people moving about, and the road outside is never really quiet. We often get folks who get confused between the two buildings, so the guards at the gate spend a lot of time giving directions. Our hospital isn't as big as the college next door, but we handle a steady stream of people every day. The layout is pretty straightforward, with the outpatient department right at the front and the inpatient wards further back where it’s a bit more peaceful. We have a small canteen that serves basic tea and snacks, which is always popular in the afternoons. The staff is used to the high volume of work, and we just get on with things without complaining much. The plumbing acts up occasionally, and sometimes we run short on certain forms, but we manage to make it work. It’s a practical sort of place, focused on getting people the help they need and getting them back home. You won't find any shiny brochures or marketing posters on our walls, just some old health notices and a calendar or two. It feels like a very human place, with all the usual stresses and small victories that come with running a hospital in a crowded urban area. We are just here to do our bit for the community and keep the system moving.
